Thinking pays - or how to earn 20 thousand PLN with Volkswagen Poznan.

At the beginning of October 2013 we announced the winners of the “Be The Best” Competition. Every year the competition is targeted at students from Poznan universities.

What is the competition's idea? Students, substantially supported by Volkswagen Poznan specialists, work on competition topics submitted by Professional Departments. Volkswagen on the other hand, obtains solutions that will be put into practice.
Main Prize – 20,000 PLN plus experience gained during cooperation with Professional Departments. This year, Departments proposed three project topics:

The best ones within the topic: "Optimization of a wing door sealing system's concept" were Grzegorz Dąbrowski and Marek Telicki from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Poznan University of Technology. The winners received a check for 20,000 PLN. The second prize went to Katarzyna Przybylska and Ksawery Fryczynski from the Faculty of Machines and Transportation at Poznan University of Technology.

Within the topic "Evaluation of rib geometry" the first price, 20,000 PLN went to a team from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management at Poznan University of Technology - Tomasz Cegła and Paweł Bun. The second prize went to Piotr Kowalczyk from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

The last topic "Automation of Anorganik Core Department - Automation of acceptance and deburring of cores" showed some rivalry between two teams from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management at Poznan University of Technology. The winners, Mateusz Stachowiak and Mateusz Przybecki, received 20,000 PLN. The second prize went to Mateusz Lesik and Konrad Wasilewski.
