The beach handball team Reflex AZS AWF Volkswagen Poznan for the past few weeks has been preparing for participation in the European Beach Handball Tour Final – a tournament considered to be the European Club Championship. At the event 10 of the best women’s and men’s teams, which advanced in last year’s eliminations. The EBT Final will take place this weekend in Greece. The Poznan women depart for Thessaloniki on Monday.

At the event 10 of the best women’s and men’s teams, which advanced in last year’s eliminations. The EBT Final will take place this weekend in Greece. The Poznan women depart for Thessaloniki on Monday.
„I am very pleased with the work my team has done and believe, that the girls can achieve a lot. Our opponents are very demanding and experienced, but we can also pull off some surprises. Certainly a success for this young team would be to improve on the 6th place at the same event two years ago.” – said a few days before departure Stanisław Igel, the Poznan Women’s trainer.
A huge challenge awaits Reflex AZS AWF Volkswagen Poznan.On the first day of competition they will play only one game with a team from Switzerland. A day later they will run on the sand three times, taking on teams from Spain, Norway, and The Netherlands.
„In Greece we will face some very successful teams. Unfortunately the beach season is just beginning, which is why we are unable to tell what formations our competitors will be in at the tournament. However, we have nothing to lose and will fight for the best results.” – added Igel.
