Polish student among the best graduates of vocational education of the concern Volkswagen AG

The graduate of the School Complex No. 1 in Swarzędz - Ludwik Piaskowski (20) is among the group of 45 students awarded by the Concern Volkswagen AG in the scope of vocational education program. Each year the companies belonging to the Concern educate almost 19 500 of young people.

Since 2001 the Concern has honored more than 450 apprentices, distinguished with their skills, knowledge and with the best results in education.

During this year gala “Best-Apprentice-Award” in Wolfsburg 45 best graduates from all over the world met. All of them participated in vocational training program organized by various companies that belong to Volkswagen concern. All week long young people participated in workshops, lectures and inspiring presentations. The international meeting ended with the ceremony of prize awarding and receiving personal congratulations from the Management of VW Concern and the Management of the Brand Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

One of this-year “Best Apprentice Award” distinctions was received by Ludwik Piaskowski, who completed his education in the sponsored class in the occupation of industrial automation and precision equipment mechanic in the School Complex No. 1 in  Swarzędz. After graduation he started work on the area of Maintenance in the Department of Automation Technology Poznań in the plant in Poznań-Antoninek.

The prize awarded to him testifies and confirms in the best way the high standards of vocational education, which we have offered together with our partners for more than 11 years. ” – says Jolanta Musielak, Human Resources and Organizational Affairs Board Member at Volkswagen Poznań.

Since 2005 Volkswagen Poznań, in cooperation with the District Office (Poviat Starosty), has organized the vocational education program with the School Complex No. 1 in  Swarzędz. At present, it offers education in four professions: mechatronics fitter, electro-mechanic of cars, industrial automation and precision equipment mechanic, operator of foundry machines and equipment. From this year, in connection with construction of the new plant in Białężyce near Września, Volkswagen Poznań started a new faculty of vocational education. Starting from this school year, the company educates young students in the profession of precision mechanic, in cooperation with the Technical School Complex in Września.  In the years to come further extension of offered vocational training is planned. Volkswagen Poznań has already held preliminary talks concerning establishing of next sponsored classes in Września. These are supposed to be the professions connected with car-body painting and panel beating.
