The team of handball players Reflex Pyrki AZS AWF Poznan won the Polish championships in beach handball and thus, defended their title from last year. It is already the seventh medal in the team's history! We warmly congratulate the team on such a great success, especially since, according to the players, it was not easy.

It is already long after the 4th edition of the Volkswagen Poznan Mini Handball tournament, young players enjoy their vacation and they might have decided to continue their handball adventure in the Handball Academy. They might even use their new skills playing handball during vacation and as their older friends, they might play at the beach and in the future will follow their footsteps.

Whereas the players of for example AZS AWF Volkswagen Poznan conducting trainings in the Handball Academy cannot use their vacation.
Since May instead of sunbathing at the beach they have been working hard for their success.

And they succeeded! Pyrki won the Polish championships!

The play system in the Polish championships 2013 in beach handball consisted of four tournaments and the sum of all points achieved during these tournaments decided on which team won the championships. Poznan players, who defended their last year's title, started their sand season rather poorly and halfway through the season it appeared that they lost their chance to play with the best: "After the first two tournaments hardly anyone believed that we can win the championships. However, we did not give up and despite everything and everyone we fought until the last whistle was blown. Each one of us left a piece of our heart on the sand, each one of us contributed to this success." - said a Pyrki winger, Weronika Łakomy.

"This is the seventh medal in the team's history but as it was won in such dramatic circumstances this title is probably the sweetest one. We overcame the problems and the team proved to be capable of great things!" - added Karolina Peda, the team captain.
