• The factory in Września produced 100.000 cars
• This event takes place in two years after the factory opening ceremony.

18.10.2018 Września: Exactly at 9:30 a.m. the 100.000th car left the production line of the Białężyce plant near Września. The jubilee model is a red wagon-type Volkswagen Crafter, diesel 2.0 TDI 140 hp. The vehicle with the number 100.000 goes to the customer in Switzerland.

Among the previously built 100.000 utility cars there are 88.376 Volkswagen Crafters and 11.624 TGE MANs. Since 2016 the plant in Września is the only factory in the world, where Volkswagen Crafter is build from scratch.

Two years after the opening. The most modern factory in Europe.

The factory in Września has another important reason for pride. Built in record rate, only in 23 months, the factory is celebrating its second birthday. Exactly two years ago in October 2016 the production was officially started. 

Jens Ocksen, President of the Management Board at Volkswagen Poznań: “The plant in Września is one of the most advanced car factories in the world. It is impressive not only with its size but also with functionality and the production technology. Nearly 70% of production are cars with special conversions, tailored to the individual needs of the customer. In 2019 in this plant the serial production of Grand California - Crafter-based camper will be manufactured"

Full power. 3-Shift operation. 420 cars each day.

Today the plant operates with 3 shifts and the employment status is now more than 3400 people with daily production of 420 vehicles. Along with the launch of the third production shift in September this year the plant has reached its full production capacity. Therefore the factory has completed the full start-up process and its production capacity is currently 100 000 vehicles per year.

The cars produced in the Września factory are present in 50 different variants of conversions:
- three versions of the length: 5.986 x 6.836 x 7.391 mm

- three versions of the height: 2.355, 2.590 and 2.798 mm

- the commercial version (van) and station wagons

- with a single or double cab on a frame

- with Diesel engine: 2.0 TDI with 102, 140 or 177 Hp

- with a special conversion.

Volkswagen Crafter produced in the Września factory has already gained recognition of customers all over the world, receiving the “International Van of the Year 2017” and “Green Van of the Year 2018” awards for most ecological cars in their class.
