Currently, a new sprinkler system pumping station and a water tank with a storage volume of 600m3 are being constructed at Volkswagen Poznan plant in Antoninek. The tank will have a diameter of 8.6 m and height of 11.4 m.

The investment aims at increasing water reserves for firefighting purposes at the Paint and Assembly production halls and newly opened Sequential Hall. In orderto ensure safety during a tank assembly and trench digging a construction area was fenced and closed. Construction of a tank is carried out in accordance with a foundation method. It consists in the assembly of the upper part of the tank, installation of hydraulic platforms that steadily lift the construction, and assembly of other tank sequences. A part of the construction process includes replacing asphalt with pavement.
