For the second year in a row, Volkswagen Poznań has come in the top three in the “Industrial and Chemical Production” category of the Ranking of Responsible Companies. The Ranking, prepared by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, is Poland’s most important survey of companies evaluated according to the quality of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The results of this 10th edition of the ranking were announced in Katowice during the European Economic Congress. In this year’s edition, several dozen companies from various areas of the economy took part in the poll. The Ranking of Responsible Companies is prepared by Prof. Bolesław Rok of the Leon Koźmiński Academy and Jarosław Horodecki for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, and is verified by Deloitte. The Responsible Business Forum is a programme partner of the event.
The prize was accepted on behalf of Volkswagen Poznań by Patrycja Kasprzyk, Specialist Coordinating the Communications Department. “We’re very happy to find ourselves among the best for the second time. For us it’s confirmation that we properly understand social responsibility. In the past year of our activities we’ve focused on the new car factory near Września. We’re making every effort so that the new factory will fit in with its surroundings - thinking about the philosophy of sustainable growth, taking care of people, our employees, neighbours and the natural environment,” Kasprzyk says.
The Ranking of Responsible Companies is prepared on the basis of a questionnaire which is modified yearly. In this year’s poll there were 60 closed, single-choice questions from the following five CSR areas: responsible leadership, social engagement, communication with stakeholders, social innovation and responsible management.
