Over 11 thousand people visited the Volkswagen Poznan Plant last year. This number constitutes a quarter volume of Poznan Stadium. It means that approx. 30 persons visited the plant every day. Now everyone can see the Caddy and Transporter T5 production process.

The Poznan plant opens to visitors especially during the summertime. The summer visiting programme for individual persons has just been launched. "This year we launched a new special summer visiting programme. We enrol the visitors for several terms." - says Monika Hajbowicz, the Head of the Communications Department of Volkswagen Poznan.

While visiting you can get familiar with the production process of the Body Vehicle Department and Assembly Room of the Antoninek Plant. Thanks to that each visitor can see a car's production process. The Poznan Plant is the only Volkswagen plant manufacturing VW Caddy. A visiting trip takes approx. 2 hours.

Who can visit the Antoninek plant? For safety reasons, the visitors must be at least 18 years old and divided into groups of not more than 30 persons - explains Jerzy Włodarczyk who guides the guests through the Poznan plant. During the summer visiting programme the visitors can choose the term of their visit from three July Mondays - 14, 21 and 28. The first visiting trip starts at 09:30 a.m. and second at 4:30 p.m. You can register by phone. Persons interested in a visit are required to call 61 871 4078 or 61 887 2549. We also accept e-mail registrations at: Wycieczki.VWP@vw-poznan.pl Before the visit guests are required to read the visiting rules - he adds.

In 2013 the production halls of Volkswagen were visited by 11,300 persons (357 groups), who were interested in and impressed by the state-of-art technological processes. The majority of visitors were students of middle schools, high schools and in particular vocational schools (a total of 177 groups). Another significant group were the representatives of universities and student research clubs (77 groups).

We are happy that the interest in visiting the plant is higher every month. There are even schools and research clubs which visit our plant a couple of times a year. We hope that the summer visiting programme will also be so popular and will become a part of our agenda - says Monika Hajbowicz.
