20 years of common history.

20 July 2013

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Volkswagen Poznan invites you to a premiere concert. For the first time in Poland, Ray Wilson - a vocalist of the legendary group Genesis - will perform with a Symphonic Orchestra. The greatest hits of the legendary group Genesis: „Land of Confusion”, „Follow You, Follow Me”, „Mama”, „Congo”, „Invisible Touch” and many other will be performed in unusual arrangements.
The total income from the concert will be used to support the Foundation Assisting Children with Cancer.

The Foundation Assisting Children with Cancer was founded in 1992. For many years it has been collaborating with Children Haematology and Oncology Clinic and Proliferative Blood Diseases and Pathomorphology Clinic of Medical University in Poznan.
The main goal of the Foundation is to assist children by organizing financial support, support for families of children with cancer, and rehabilitation - therapeutic stays.

Funds collected at the concert will be used by the Foundation to purchase advanced medical equipment for general anaesthesia with the remote monitoring of patients' medical condition with MRI imaging technique.

Why support the foundation?

Volkswagen Poznan has been implementing the 1+1=3 programme for 4 years.
The programme has been launched at the request of employees who, every year, vote for the charity, foundation or association they would like to support.  After signing a declaration, 1 PLN is deducted from their monthly salaries and granted to the selected Foundation. In 2013 the employees once again decided to support the Foundation Assisting Children with Cancer.
The amount collected by the employees so far totals 172,250 PLN.
