Car production

Car production is a complex process consisting in step-by-step creation of a new car. Before leaving the assembly line VW Caddy and VW Transporter pass through the Vehicle Body Construction, modern Paint Shop and Assembly Room. The process engages thousands of people and dozens of robots.

  • Body Shop

The Vehicle Body Construction Department constructs a basis for a future car. High level of precision, safe processes and strict quality controls help manufacture a safe and stable car.

  • Paint Shop

The modern Paint Shop located in the Antoninek Plant was officially opened in May 2001. The majority of painting processes are performed using specialised equipment and robots. Manual painting is applied only inside the vehicle cabin and difficult-to-access areas.

  • Assembly Room

The Volkswagen Poznan Assembly Department is one of the largest areas in terms of number of employees. Assembly of Caddy and Transporter is performed in a hall with the area of 29,000 square metres (area of approx. 5 soccer fields) on a common, 1250 meters long, assembly line. The assembly line is divided into 3 areas.
